A British study commissioned by movie rental service LOVEFiLM recorded the pulse, heart rate, oxygen intake, and carbon dioxide output of 10 subjects (albeit, a small sample size) as they watched fright flicks and concluded that the resulting adrenaline rush lowered their appetites and killed calories..
While I think the study may be junk science and most likely not reliable, I did think back and try to remember horror movie fans I know who may be overweight. I couldn’t think of one..
Romantic comedies? That’s a different story.. But horror movie fans? Skinny. And able to run really really fast in case they are involved in a real life chase scene with Freddy or Jason..
